WASHINGTON, D.C., January 3, 2011 – Vetted Solutions, a Washington, D.C.-based executive search firm specializing in association and non-profit recruiting and consulting, announced today that it has hired Amy Weist to join the firm as Project Director.
Weist most recently served as Director of Boards and Committees at the National Business Travel Association (NBTA), one of the nation’s leading travel industry non-profits. Prior to that, as Director of Board and Chapter Relations, she managed relationships with the organization’s 40 local chapters. Throughout her 10-year tenure at the NBTA, she worked closely with the boards, committees, chapters, members and staff of this 5,000-member hospitality non-profit.
Weist also worked for six years in the White House’s Office of Presidential Personnel, organizing personnel searches, clearances, background checks, daily briefings and receptions. While there, she also played a key role in facilitating logistics for the department’s transition with a new administration.
“We’re thrilled to have Amy join Vetted Solutions as Project Director,” said Jim Zaniello, president and founder of Vetted Solutions. “Amy brings extensive experience in association management, strong administrative skills, and a unique understanding of the executive search and vetting process. Her strategic thinking and management experience will be key assets in her new position at Vetted Solutions.”
“This is a terrific move for Amy and a coup for Vetted Solutions,” said Bill Connors, chief executive officer of the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce and former executive director of NBTA. “Vetted Solutions is gaining a smart, hard-working and experienced association professional, and Amy is getting the chance to expand her skills at a top-notch firm that’s experiencing tremendous growth. It’s a win-win for both sides.”
“I am excited to join Vetted Solutions and bring my varied experiences to the world of executive search,” said Weist. “And I’m looking forward to being a part of this excellent team.”
