The Elizabeth Dole Foundation (EDF) seeks an enterprise-minded Chief Strategy & Impact Officer (CSIO) to translate the Foundation’s Strategic Plan and Impact Framework into coordinated execution, measurable outcomes, and lasting impact for military and veteran caregivers. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the CSIO will serve as EDF’s chief enterprise strategist and mission integrator. This leader will establish and advance organization-wide priorities; drive cross-functional strategic initiatives; set clear direction, objectives, and decision-making discipline; and ensure that advocacy, research, direct service, partnerships, convenings, caregiver support, and other mission-delivery functions operate as one coordinated enterprise in support of military and veteran caregivers.

Founded in 2012, EDF is the nation’s preeminent organization empowering, supporting, and honoring America’s 14.3 million military caregivers, spouses, parents, family members, and friends who care for our nation’s wounded, ill, or injured veterans.  EDF has a budget of $20 Million, a staff of 45 and its office is located in Washington, DC.  Its mission is to empower military and veteran caregivers, their families, and communities through programs, partnerships, and advocacy that drive innovation and sustainable solutions.

This person will have significant senior leadership experience and proven judgment in assessing strategic opportunities, prioritizing resources, managing tradeoffs, and aligning investments with organizational goals and measurable impact. The CSIO will have experience designing or strengthening impact measurement, evaluation, performance management, and data-informed decision-making as well as the ability to translate data, outcomes, and caregiver insights into clear evidence of EDF’s benefit to caregivers, families, and communities.
