The Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC) is the leading trade association for industrial and manufacturing real estate. Founded in 2002 by Conway Data, Inc., which continues to manage the association, it serves more than 600 dues-paying members, including corporate real estate executives, economic developers, and service providers. Through its forums, events, webinars, knowledge resources, and leadership and education programs, IAMC provides the connections and information that keep its members at the forefront of their field.

IAMC is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven leader who will serve as Chief Operating Officer before transitioning to succeed a highly successful Chief Executive Officer who is retiring in July 2027. The COO will first lead the organization’s day-to-day operations and then assume the CEO’s responsibility for IAMC’s vision and strategic direction. The COO/CEO will ensure that IAMC continues to deliver a strong value proposition as well as excellent programs and services, and will identify new opportunities for IAMC to advance the industrial and manufacturing real estate community. Leading a talented staff, the next COO/CEO will sustain the organization’s culture and ensure the excellence of its events and education programming.

The role requires a strategic, business-oriented executive with a collaborative leadership style who can strengthen operations, drive membership growth and retention, and develop and market new member-value programs, including the organization’s education and professional development offerings. The ideal candidate is a relationship-builder with integrity, sound judgment, and the executive presence and communication skills to engage members, volunteer leaders, and staff at every level, and to represent IAMC before large audiences. This individual will be a quick learner who understands and respects IAMC’s culture and ensures continuity through a leadership transition.

IAMC has a budget of approximately $3.75 million and a staff of 10. The office is located in Peachtree Corners, GA in metro Atlanta.
