The Rare Disease Company Coalition (RDCC) seeks an innovative executive to serve as its new Executive Director (ED). The new ED will have the opportunity to grow an organization and to further position RDCC as a leader in the biopharmaceutical sector.

Founded in 2021, the Rase Disease Company Coalition (RDCC) is a coalition of 36 life science companies committed to discovering, developing, and delivering life-changing therapies for rare disease patients around the globe. The RDCC works to educate key policy stakeholders on the unique considerations of life science companies when developing and bringing to market therapies for small and differentiated patient populations.

RDCC is committed to giving rare disease innovators One Rare Voice to advocate for policies that protect innovation and ensure access for patients living with a rare disease. RDCC’s next ED will serve as a partner to the Executive Committee (EC), providing both the strategic mindset and managerial expertise needed to meet the expanding needs and expectations of members — and those they serve — in this increasingly demanding biopharmaceutical environment.

The ED will oversee operational activities, support and empower a staff of three, and manage a budget of $2.2 million. As the face of RDCC, the ED will be expected to maintain close relationships with important allies and stakeholders and serve as RDCC representative to Congress and regulatory agencies. RDCC would prefer to hire a candidate based in the Washington, DC metro area.
