Mason Baxter

It’s been said that “you can’t go home again.” But Mason Baxter seems to prove that wrong, having returned to Vetted Solutions, where he previously served as a search associate.

Between his first tenure with the firm and his current role as a client partner, Mason worked in talent acquisition for three prominent nonprofits — an experience which allowed him to increase his knowledge of the inner workings of larger organizations. In his current role, Mason’s seasoned support boosts Vetted’s capacity to pursue tailored, in-depth research on candidate identification and selection.

Mason’s previous experience with Vetted Solutions helps him understand the nuances of partnership and what they really mean for collaborating with clients. At larger nonprofits, he worked with the “internal clients” of their HR departments. Deftly navigating both internal and external relationships is one of many strengths he brings to his work with Vetted.

Mason has a remarkable appetite for success, a deep personal commitment to the Vetted brand, and a mission-driven outlook instilled through his extensive experience in the nonprofit sphere. He observes that many nonprofits and associations may be structurally similar, but their approaches vary. He finds it exciting to work with clients across various sectors, getting to know their missions in depth. He enjoys the process of engaging with each new client organization — or re-engaging with a repeat client — and the research that entails. “There’s a learning curve with every engagement that requires a level of intellectual curiosity. The knowledge gained is such a rewarding part of this work.” 

Mason holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Virginia Tech and was certified as a diversity and inclusion recruiter (CDR) through AIRS/ADP. When not going the extra mile for Vetted’s clients, he’s logging miles in his running shoes, having completed marathons in Boston, Chicago, and Berlin. This athletic drive is reflected in the discipline Mason brings to his work.
