ACTEC Appoints Jennifer Briggs as Executive Director
The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel has named Jennifer Briggs, MBA, CAE, IOM, as its executive director, effective September 9, 2026. Briggs succeeds Deborah O. McKinnon, who is retiring after 17 years of service. ACTEC’s selection of Briggs follows an executive search managed by Vetted Solutions.
Throughout her career, Briggs has earned a reputation for strategic leadership, operational excellence, and innovative, member-focused programs that help professional organizations grow and thrive. She joins ACTEC from the Texas Society of Architects. There, as executive vice president and chief executive officer, she led strategic, operational, and financial initiatives that strengthened organizational performance, enhanced member engagement, and aligned resources with long-term priorities. Before that, she spent nearly two decades with the Indiana CPA Society in a series of leadership roles culminating in her appointment as president and CEO.
